2024 Applications are due by May 1, 2025

In 1981 the W. Vernie Reed Scholarship Fund was established as a living memorial to the late W. Vernie Reed, General Secretary-Treasurer of the Laborers’ International Union of North America, who represented our Northwest Region. Since that time, the scholarship fund has awarded 307 scholarships totaling almost half a million dollars to our members, their children and grandchildren from various Local Unions throughout the Region. We should all take great pride that we have established such a fund in memory of one of LIUNA’s past leaders, who fought so hard for every LIUNA member, Local Union and District Council.

Please find attached information regarding the Lebold Scholarship for 2025.   The deadline for submitting your application is  

May 1, 2025.  There will be three (3) scholarships awarded for $3,000 each.

The Pipe Line Contractors Association of Canada allocates awards in the fall of each year to a son or daughter of parents or guardians who derive their principal income from pipeline construction.
